In vielen aktiven Jahren im Radsport blieben Fehler nicht aus, was ihn dazu brachte sich intensiv mit Sportwissenschaft, Biologie und zellulären Vorgängen zu beschäftigen, mit nur einem Ziel: Ausdauersportlern zu helfen fehlerfrei, schneller und gesünder ans Ziel zu kommen. Seit über zehn Jahren ist er nun Trainer für Ausdauersport mit der Devise, dass modernes Coaching weit mehr ist als trainieren nach individuellen Herzfrequenzbereichen: Es beinhaltet um die Ecke zu denken, Lebenssituation zu berücksichtigen und maßgeschneiderte Lösungen zu kreieren.
